Have you ever tried to run backwards on all fours? Or on your feet and hands? You can run this
race either way - or try to. It's very difficult to race backwards. You lose your sense of direction
and even become powerless to guide your movements! But it can be done. Running this race on all fours, the team members position their toes at the starting point and "knee" backwards to the finish line, whereupon the next team member starts out. Score one point for every team member who gets to the finish line. This race can also be run backwards standing up, with both hands and feet on the floor, if you prefer. If you want, you can have each racer come all the way back to the starting point again before the next one starts out. In that case, finishing gets one point and returning to "GO" gets another. |
